Trail stick number 11 did not last long at the stream crossing. I think it has found a home in someone's closet. But it has to decide what it wants and if that is where it wants to be, then who am I to argue?
Several more trail sticks are just about ready to be launched. The photo along the margin shows four sticks in various stages of becoming. You can see that number 10 is still in emerging mode. I think it was a little reluctant to come forward and that is why very assertive number 11 got to the stream crossing before it. The before and after picture of number 10 (that is the one with the elaborate hair-do) give an idea of how they find you. That particular branch did not find Uncle Dan on the DC trails but instead lured him to Virginia where a large clear cut along the highway beckoned.
